Training

That’s exactly why you’ll receive the training and instruction you need to perform your job correctly when you join our team.

We’re especially proud of Step Plan—our unique technical training program, which includes financial incentives for employees to complete training certification goals. It’s just one reason why we regularly receive industry recognition for the training that all of our production employees receive.

Every time we receive recognition for our industry-leading safety record, we attribute that success to our training program, too. Our Oklahoma locations received the Management Commitment Award in 2007, one of three recognition awards given out by Smithfield Foods. In 2006, our Texhoma operation was recognized by Smithfield Foods as the first runner-up for the Smithfield President’s trophy. This was quite an achievement following a concentrated effort to improve operations at this location.
